Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music songwriter and singer. The group she formed with Ashley Monroe known as Pistol Annies, with Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert in 2007, followed by her release of her 2nd album titled Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe performing Blake SheltonIn 2016 she recorded The Blade which was another well-received album. Ashley Monroe holds a position as Assistant Village manager for Riverside Illinois. She has more than 15 years' experience within the public sector which includes nearly five year time working in Iowa City. As Assistant Village Director, she manages managing the Community Development and Building Department. This includes coordinating the grant application process and also completing specific projects. Ashley assists in the everyday operation of Riverside services, as well as in the implementation of the elected officials' and community visions. Her previous roles included municipal planning government communications budgeting personnel management and collective bargaining as well as focusing on climate-related initiatives. Ashley's involvement in National organizations and working with different communities demographics has allowed her to gain an understanding of the different aspects and commonalities between the ways in which different public institutions run. Ashley's course focuses on contemporary approaches to the management of public affairs and leaders, from the standpoint of a seasoned practitioner. She focuses on ethics and strategic decision-making that adapts to the current challenges and opportunities, as well as navigating the inter-governmental and community relations will provide a framework for future as well as current leaders in public institutions.
